ICE- MAN- FLAMES-MAN: I GUESS AN EXPRESSION OF WHY I ENJOYED ICEMAN- THE DRAKE ALBUM

For some reason, it seems there is a patten wherein i do these writings during winter. And i guess this one aligns perfectly because the Name of the music that is the subject of these words is called Iceman- an album by the musician Drake, "the nigga who hides his kid from world but dont hide world from his kid"- i think thats what soulja boy said.

Anyway, the reason why we are politiking here is because for some reason, no no, actually i know the reason, the album was really good. We are here because my autistic urge had resulted in me playing the same songs over and over again and that has led me here.

The number of times at which i have listened to this album is unprecedented. And it is strage because i am not a stan of Drake. Do i respect his craft and his ability to make hits, most definitely, given how hard it is to make even one hit in a single lifetime. This nigga has been churning out hits for the last 10-12 years without fail. There has never been a decade since the dawn of this brother, where the music sphere of existence was without a Drake hit and that should tell you the mastery he has reached and the level of understanding he has attained in knowing what ears would want to ear. I have come to realize that he isnt a taste maker, his is a scientist who understand the exact sonics, melodies and cadences which the ear will find enjoyment in consuming. And that is what the 2026 album ICEMAN is, a perfect dish for the human anatomical ear.

Everything you would want to hear in sounds is found in his album. But its real brilliance, and the element that makes it such good music, is because its an easy digest. It like eating a well made single patty smash burger that is seasoned well.

The album It isnt a platform for introspection, its not calling for the listener to think, to wonder to much, its a curation of sounds which just calls for you to enjoy it. Just listen and enjoy. Someone actually said that Drakes music is made for you. When he goes in the studio and records these tracks, his recording them for you. And this album perfecly captures that essence. It feels like it was made for the listener and made for the listener to enjoy and i know that because i found enjoyment in consuming it.

As someone who has started finding enjoyment in words, the music in the ICEMAN work is filled with one of the best sequences of words being put together. Its simple, straight forward bars which go perfectly as a caption to any instagram post.

My favourite sequence of words is in the song JANICE STFU wherein the music artist Drake says:

" They tryna cover it up like a quilt",

"Rari go skrrt on a boy like a kilt" ( this is one of my favourite bars of all time)

" Kept it a Hundred on paper like Wilt"

Brother, Sister, They/Them, objectivly that is an impressive use of the English language. And why i enjoyed this.

Man ,All in all, its an amazing product. I would most definitely recommend an ear be given.
